“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.”
Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass
We set goals all the time. Sometimes we reach them. Sometimes we don’t. What we may not realize is that striving for a goal is a change process. And change is hard.
Change begins with something that disrupts the status quo. Change can come from within in the form of a desire – for a new career direction – or discontent – with unsatisfying workplace relationships. Or it might come from the outside in the form of a new concept or leader, a sudden merger or an unexpected lawsuit.
Whether you initiate the change, embrace it, or simply hope to survive it, assessment can be a useful way to inform your goal setting.
Don’t want to do an assessment? We’ll set a goal anyway. Or else any old road will take you–where?
We can assess:
- Communication patterns
- Emotional intelligence
- Managerial effectiveness
- Team dynamics
- Organizational culture and climate
Falling Apples consultants use a variety of assessment tools and methods to help you identify your specific change goal:
- Self-assessments: MBTI, DiSC, EQ-I 2.0, and more
