About Our Consultants
Diana J. Newton, MA, MEd
Diana Newton is currently the Principal of Falling Apples Consulting, where she focuses on developing individuals, teams, and organizations to achieve superior results through effective change and development efforts.
She specializes in the area of emotional intelligence and integrates related research and applications into the learning events she designs, develops, and facilitates. As a trainer and executive coach, she strikes a dynamic balance between group development, personal attention, and a well-developed eye for the "big picture" view of the systems context. Diana's experience creatively bridges the disciplines of business and psychology, bringing great breadth and depth to her role as group facilitator and coach. Her recent work includes the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive blended learning program for new managers worldwide for a Fortune 100 company.
In addition to consulting and training, Diana spent a number of years as a psychotherapist in private practice. She holds Masters' degrees in English and Counselor Education from UNC-Chapel Hill and NC State University, respectively, and is a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor.
